Parent Advocacy Boot Camp

A growing training and support ecosystem for families navigating special education and care systems.

No one is coming to protect our kids.

That’s not fear-based, and it’s not bitterness.
It’s what families discover once they’ve sat through enough meetings, waited on enough lists, and watched time slip by.

There aren’t enough therapists.
There aren’t enough specialists.
There aren’t enough lawyers.
There aren’t enough protections.

Families are asked to be patient inside systems that move slowly, speak in jargon, and often forget there’s a child at the center of it all.

And while the reasons vary, the result is the same.

Our children lose time.

Parent Advocacy Boot Camp exists because waiting quietly costs more than most families can afford to give.

THE SHIFT

This work isn’t about rescuing parents.

It’s about training and equipping them.

As my advocacy expanded beyond my own home, one truth became unavoidable: the only solution that scales is informed parents who know how to navigate systems and hold their ground.

Parents who understand procedures.
Parents who know how to prepare.
Parents who can communicate clearly and advocate without burning out.

Parent Advocacy Boot Camp is being developed as a place where that capacity is built — steadily, intentionally, and in real time.

Not overnight.
Not all at once.
But family by family.

WHAT THIS IS

The Training Camp

The Training Camp is the core learning space and is currently in development.

Inside this space, parents are learning how to:

  • navigate special education and related systems

  • prepare for ARDs, IEPs, evaluations, and interventions

  • organize records and documentation

  • write clear, effective communication

  • advocate with confidence and sustainability

This is not lecture-based learning.
It is collaborative, practical, and grounded in real situations families are facing right now.

Early access is application-based and offered during the development phase. Members help shape the culture, resources, and training materials that will support families long-term.

How families can participate in building the Parent Advocacy Boot Camp
